Jorge Ferrer
- Jorge is the chair of the East-West Psychology department at the California Institute of Integral Studies. He has been an essential guide as I have found my way through academia and the study of Comparative Mysticism. Through his guidance I have begun to understand the subtleties of what an Integral Life Practice might look like in the context of modern academia. East-West Psychology, CIIS
Alicia Gates
Alicia was there guiding my process during some of my most intense initiation. She was and is a rock. A sometimes "mother-superior" with a kind heart and a rare a true gift as a healer in this world. Alicia teaches the three-year program for the Foundation for Shamanic Studies here on the west coast.
Michael Harner
- Michael has been an important teacher and influence in my life. He is the primary teacher that saw me through my initiatory process into adulthood, what Plotkin terms the apprentice at the wellspring. The more teachers I meet, the more deeply I appreciate Michael. You can tell someone by their students, and I think this speaks very highly of Michael. www.Shamanism.org
Elizabeth Husserl
- Elizabeth is my partner and closest teacher. I work with others to help them deepen their relationships to the more-than-human, while Elizabeth guides me into relationship with the human. I am deeply indebted to her for her patience and fire.
Lee Lozowick
- Lee is the founder and spiritual teacher of the Hohm Community in Prescott, Arizona, and studied under the auspices of Sri Yogi Ramsuratkumar of Tiruvannamalai, India (b. 1918-d. 2001), Enlightenment heir of the great Indian sage Swami Ramdas (b. 1884-d. 1963). Though Lee is not formally my Guru, he is a powerful teacher and guide in my life... www.LeeLozowick.com
Faisal Muqaddam
- Faisal originated the Diamond Logos work, and was a co-originator (with A.H. Almaas) of the Diamond Approach. I have recently started working with Faisal and some of his Diamond Logos teachers, and have found this to be the perfect piece to my puzzle. There are psychological and contemplative components to this work that complement the already vibrant set of teachings and contemporary wisdom traditions that animate my own "gardening." Martin Prechtel
- Martin is an elder and teacher through his writings, and through connection with many of his students. He is leading the way in bringing back indigenous knowledge that has been lost all over the world, by directing people to look deeply into their own past and lineage. I cannot recomment his writings and teachings enough. www.FloweringMountain.com
Bill Plotkin
- After working with individuals for several years, digging deeply into the work of the Soil and the Soul, I came across the work of Bill. It was the first time I had seen or come across someone expressing the very core of the work I have been engaged in over the years. I facilitate rites of passage work with an organization that is based largely on his work. www.Animas.org
Marina Romero & Ramon Albareda
- Marina and Ramon are some of my closest teachers. Their work animates much of my own, and through their work I have connected deeply with the great diversity of Life living in and through me. This work is masterful in its facilitation, genious in its simplicity, and transformational in its safety. Built on the foundation of unconditional acceptance it approaches life with an open and curious hand. www.Holistic-Sexuality.com & www.ESTEL.es

Malidoma Patrice Some
- Malidoma is one of the leading proponents of recovering our indigenous wisdom. He has been involved in a variety of movements, from establishing rites of passage work here in the West, participating in men's work with Robert Bly and others, as well as teaching throughout the US, Europe, and Africa. I am honored and blessed to working with him over the next couple of years in the Bay Area. Malidoma.com
Eric Weiss
- I cannot express here the debt I owe to Eric for the courage he has shown in following his own
inner guidance. His metaphysical work and his work with philosophy of science inform much of my own thinking. It is through the shared dialogue with Eric that I find my own courage to venture out towards our integral future, towards living houses, and a technology of organism.... EricWeiss.com
