Zayin Cabot, PhDc
Zayin sees himself as both a guide deeply rooted in the Soil and the Soul and as a philosopher-at-heart with a vision connected to the Sun and Spirit.
The purpose of his work is to connect persons to Life, empowering them to find their most authentic expressions.
He guides people towards themselves, towards Life, into the depths and mystery of the Soil. This more individualized work is nourished by the Sun. In this context philosophy is something as new as it is old, it is the love of wisdom contextualized in the emergent story of our times. The Integral story of inclusiveness, transparency, and verition.
He likes to use the metaphor of gardening to describe his work, which focuses primarily on creating sacred space to engender personal growth and transformation. The depth of Zayin's "gardening" is supported by comprehensive experiential and theoretical work within the intersection of western psychology, contemporary wisdom traditions, and his own evolution towards his fullest expression through Integral Gardening.
Zayin Neumann is currently working towards his Ph.D. in East-West Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies. He has completed the Advanced Training in Core Shamanism offered by Michael Harner and the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. In addition, he has worked in intensive settings with several highly respected elders and healers from a wide variety of traditions. He has completed several intensive trainings with Marina Romero and Ramon Albareda, the founders of ESTEL (a center for integral studies that was located in Barcelona Spain up unitl the summer of 2007). He continues to work very closely with them both, organizing and facilitating workshops on Holistic Integration & Sexuality in and around the Bay Area.
Zayin also works as a rites of passage guide for adolescents and young adults, and is affiliated with Stepping Stones, an organization dedicated to working with adolescents in this field.
